It's that time of year when our thoughts turn to playing Christmas games on our mobile phones. Well, at least that's what's on my mind, anyway.
Season's Smiley is a simple festive game featuring a smiley face on a frosted window. Your objective is to make this smiley travel as far as possible along the window without hitting the water droplets that will destroy it. To do this you need to keep pressing and releasing the joystick button to make the smiley rise and fall.
It takes lots of practice to get a respectable score on Season's Smiley because of the sheer speed you travel at. Once you've got used to the sensitivity of the controls, it can become quite addictive trying to beat your previous score.
The graphics in Season's Smiley aren't very good and the animation can be quite jerky. However, there are plenty of Christmassy references outside of the window to get you in the festive mood. Note that the game requires an Internet connection to serve ads to you, so be careful of this if you pay for your data access by the megabyte.
It's not the most elaborate Christmas game ever, but Season's Smiley might take your mind off the cold for a while while you're standing on a frozen bus stop.
